Our work depends on a Salesforce Release Manager joining our team to remotely support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) activities for the Premium Stabilization Program (PSP).  Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role

As a Salesforce Release Manager supporting CMS, you will be trusted to leads the Salesforce DevOps strategy including, but not limited to, source code control, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), testing, monitoring and automate Salesforce deployments using Copado. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Overseeing the DevOps release process for Salesforce instances and assist our developers throughout their release process.

  • Developing, maintaining, and advancing our CI/CD pipeline from scratch and environment setup using Copado and related tools.

  • Maintaining GIT repositories and deployment of all software releases.

  • Creating CI/CD processes, standards, and training for other team members to streamline releases.

  • Ensuring code delivery through the development lifecycle is simple, seamless, and consistent and long-term resolutions and an overall roadmap for the completion of this process.

  • Coordinating with Scrum Teams, Dev Leads, and Project Managers to understand the road map, prepare release schedules and coordinate deployments across the program.

  • Deeply understanding our release process and think strategically about continuous improvement and automation that enables our developers to release on-time.

  • Supporting post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixes.

  • Collaborating with Development Team to ensure safe and secure environments for development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

  • Acting as a single point of contact to plan, coordinate, and oversee our releases, patches, and emergency change requests.

  • Refreshing a sandbox, packaging and deploying metadata components, providing expertise on release branching strategies, code merging and conflict resolution strategies.

  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals and/or may serve as a team or task lead.



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of relevant experience

  • 5+ years as a Release Manager in an enterprise-level environment

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience developing custom code and/or leading teams in administering code changes for technology-based solutions.

  • Experience with deployments and DevOps/release management with an understanding of CI/CD processes, integration concepts in an enterprise IT software development environment

  • Experience implementing complex DevOps pipeline for releases with Copado or similar tools

  • Expertise with branching strategies, version control, pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing Copado and related tools like Git or Jenkins/BitBucket/GitHub/Ant/other related tools

  • Experience of Coordinate Branching and Merging strategies with development and QA teams

  • Experience with Continuous Development/Deployment/Integration design and best practices

  • Excellent knowledge in code deployment version conflict resolution

  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

  • Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
