ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGER

General Dynamics Information Technology

Whether IT Service Management, program development, or customer engagement, this widely integrated and strategic role, ensures changes align with USCENTCOM and CITS Program objectives. As a Solution Expert, you will ensure seamless integration of change initiatives through fostering collaboration and driving continual improvement. You will serve as a pivotal role in guiding the organization through transformation, enhancing both resilience and growth.     

HOW A SOLUTION EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 

CITS-Level OCM

  • Develop and implement comprehensive OCM plans for the CITS program, ensuring alignment with USCENTCOM and CITS goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Lead OCM efforts during launch and transition periods of projects, including introduction of new technologies, processes, or team structures.
  • Conduct impact assessments to understand how changes will affect operations; develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with program managers to align OCM activities with CITS program strategies, ensuring seamless integration of changes.
  • Provides insight and support to USCENTCOM and CITS undergoing change, supporting and tailoring of execution plans to meet mission and program milestones and objectives 
  • Leads development of CITS-specific projects/efforts and proactively brings about change in people, process, and tools utilized for the transition efforts. 
  • Serves as a catalyst in both technical and people leadership aspects of the job to harmonize the inputs of the team into a common organizational change approach and voice communicate the change.  

OCM for IT Service Management

  • Embed OCM strategies within the ITSM processes.
  • Lead workshops to educate IT teams on OCM principles, ensuring alignment with ITSM objectives and best practices.
  • Track the adoption of ITSM-related changes, using feedback mechanisms to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Bring forward your technical domain knowledge in OCM to enrich a growing capability team focused on market leadership in the Defense Marketplace

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Proactively involve stakeholders in OCM initiatives, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed through the change process.
  • Create communication plans that keep stakeholders informed and engaged during changes, ensuring transparency and buy-in.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor during times of change, communicating clearly.
  • Establish continual feedback mechanisms with stakeholders to capture insights and adjust OCM strategies as needed.

Leadership and Strategic OCM Needs

  • Ensure OCM efforts are aligned with the USCENTCOM’s strategic objectives, contributing to long-term success and growth.
  • Train and coach leaders on how to effectively lead and manage change within their teams and departments.
  • Spearhead large-scale change initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Disseminate OCM Best Practices

  • Capture and document success stories from OCM initiatives, using them to build organizational knowledge and promote OCM’s value.
  • Drive Continual improvement in OCM processes, staying informed of industry trends.
  • Standardize OCM practices across the organization, ensuring changes are consistent.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field.

  • Required Experience: 15 years of progressive technical leadership experience, or 19 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated Knowledge and Experience in Organization Change Management (OCM) consulting with a focus on proactively leveraging people, process, and technology solutions that enable rapid change required by contract transitions within unclassified and classified execution environments.

  • Other Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills that enable innovative design and technical thought leadership in a rapidly evolving business environment. Presentation skills for face-to-face meetings with clients or potential clients.

  • Desired Skills: Experience working with the Kotter Model of Organizational Change on an Enterprise IT contract. Experience working with Government Customers, specifically the US Military.   

  • Security Clearance Level: Must have an active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI.

  • Location: On-site; potential for limited telework. Light travel will be required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
