Help Desk Technician V - Patching

HOW A HELP DESK TECHNICIAN II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: BA/BS
● Required Experience: 7+ years of related experience

DESCRIPTION

  • Provides telephone technical support to employees regarding technical aspects of assigned products.
  • Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products.
  • Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed; researches and determines applicability of new/emerging certification programs; may recommend applicable certifications for lower-level team members.
  • Has a deep understanding of how teams integrate and coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve program objectives. In-depth understanding of how own technical specialism and related disciplines are applied in the context of specific DOD, Agency and/or industry standards and requirement.
  • Assisting in communicating, implementing, and enforcing security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications devices
  • Providing recommendations to stakeholders on information assurance engineering standards, implementation dependencies, and changing information assurance related technologies
  • Responding to all queries and requests for applicable security information and reports
  • Supporting investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $51.00 - $69.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
