HOW A TEST ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Design, develop, and implement test plans, manual test scripts, and automated testing processes
  • Create tests in the context of a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Implement and identify innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase velocity while maintaining and improving quality standards
  • Apply technical, business, and quality skills to assess product and code health, implement modern testing approaches, and prevent production defects.
  • Help establish a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality
  • Perform API level testing
  • Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management
  • Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done
  • Create end-to-end System Integration test cases to use as a design for developing regression automated tests.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor of Science (or equivalent experience)
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Skills:

  • Familiarity of various SDLC methodologies
  • Strong experience with automated testing tools/frameworks/languages such as Selenium, UFT, TestNG, Cucumber, NUnit, JUnit, JMeter, etc.
  • Experience working as part of an agile team utilizing Scrum, XP, Kanban, or SAFe agile
  • Generation and maintenance of controlled test datasets and scenarios
  • Experience working with DevSecOps pipelines
  • Experience writing automated tests for web-based applications, web services, APIs, and databases
  • Experience testing commercial-off-the-shelf applications
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration and performance testing across various platforms.
  • Identify, document and track defect using tools like Azure DevOps, working with developers to ensure fixes are tested and verified. 

Security Clearance Level: Must possess active Top Secret clearance/ Department of Energy Q
Location: On-Site in Gaithersburg, MD, Washington, DC, or Las Vegas, NV
US Citizenship Required

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • ISTQB or similar software tester certification

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $106,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
