Job Description

The Systems Engineer will work with a team of Administrators, Engineers, and Architects to build a collaborative environment for our U.S. Army Europe-Africa customer.  The main job focus for the Systems Engineer is working with Active Directory Federation Services, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Secondarily, the Systems Engineer will also maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Will be responsible for DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS) as well as updating Windows Operating Systems and ePO Administration.

  • Monitoring SQL Server & Virtualized server environments as well as Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies)

  • Microsoft server applications (i.e. Exchange, SharePoint)

  • PowerShell scripting

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience: 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience

  • Security Clearance Required: Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI/T5 clearance

  • Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements

  • Certifications: Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1; Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire

  • Skills: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS); Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); Excellent communication skills, shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through; Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience; Can create effective and clear documentation (EIPs, Build Guides, TTPs, etc.); Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
