Job Description

Electronics Technician Maintenance II

  • You will performs complex technical functions in support of engineering activities including set up, operations, maintenance, modifications, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models and/or specialized test equipment.
  • Repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories.
  • Build, repair or modify complex cable.
  • Be Proficient with through hole and surface mount components.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions.
  • Conduct complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.
  • Diagnose and isolate equipment and system malfunctions that fail to respond to standard corrective measures.
  • Assist in the development of electronic equipment.
  • You may provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
  • Use engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals to determine requirements for cable systems.
  • Prepare and install distribution equipment and terminates tip cables on main distribution frames.
  • Ensures techniques, materials, and accomplishments meeting technical standards and specifications and engineering directives

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.94 - $33.74. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
