Job Description

Shipboard Field Technician III

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

3+ years of shipboard experience

Tasked with ensuring strict compliance with Shipboard Drawings, Technical Guidance, Shipyard operating rules and effective operation of fielded systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the fabrication, testing, and modification of metal foundations for equipment install.

Assist AIT Lead in the coordination of workload and supervises the documentation and upkeep of QA Logbooks Production logs -lead to successful turnovers and certificates of completion.

Strong ability to read diagrams, schematic designs and blue prints.

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, understand welding qualifications, be VT certified or the ability to get this with in 6 months.

Must be able to get a DBIDS card.

Must be a US Citizen

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.82 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
