Job Description

SURTASS provides an on-demand, mobile, and active/passive maritime surveillance capability in support of Joint and Naval Task Force commanders via towed acoustic sensor systems. The ships and installed SURTASS mission equipment are designed for extended duration and independent operations in remote geographic areas. Thus, self-sufficiency in operations and maintenance is an important mission objective. It is intended that operations and maintenance be performed on board vessels and in depot maintenance facilities with the objective of maximizing operational readiness.

Job Description: The Program Manager (PM) shall:

  • Manage the cost, schedule, and performance and the execution of this contract.
  • Provide all corporate business interface supporting this technical services contract.
  • The PM shall not delegate corporate or company business to either the SURTASS Operations Manager or FST Manager as a normal duty.
  • Have the authority to commit the contractor to specific courses of action and accept technical direction or clarification provided by the Government during the performance of all requirements and tasks included in this contract.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Resource Management, Engineering, or equivalent

Desired Professional Experience:

  • Five years’ experience managing technical services contracts supporting Navy C4I systems operations and maintenance.
  • Ten years’ experience in a management position dealing with complex Navy Systems.
  • Ten years' experience managing personnel

Required Certifications: Program Management Professional (PMP)

Clearance: Secret

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
