Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The DTRA I3TS team is seeking a Scrum Master to support their effort.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

 Our team is looking for immediate assistance from a Scum Master for the following:

  • Lead the DTRA Agile development Team.
  • Conduct the daily and weekly Scrum meetings.
  • Work with the team in performing the various Scrum ceremonies.
  • Manage the ServiceNow Scrum Board
  • Assist teams with navigating the sprint planning and documenting the User stories/Sprint plan.
  • Helps Product owners and Developers navigate PI planning
  • Works with the Team lead to work through functional documentation required by Customer.
  • Manages team velocity and sprint burn down reporting

Typical Scrum Master experience:

  • Experience leading scrum activities in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience with ITSM principles and ITIL best practices.
  • Leadership skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Software development and release management experience.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Working and applicable knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.
  • Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master within IT development programs
  • Scrum Master, Product Owner, or PMI-ACP Certification preferred
  • Security+
  • TS/SCI

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,063 - $131,321. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
