USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.
An instructional developer is responsible for designing, creating, and implementing educational content and materials. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs, developing instructional strategies, and utilizing various technologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The instructional developer designs curriculum, creates multimedia elements, and employs instructional design principles to enhance the overall learning process. Additionally, they may conduct assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and continuously update content to align with educational goals and industry standards. Strong communication and project management skills are often essential for success in this role.
Outline the concept for course or curriculum, defining the needs for the course, the course medium, content delivery, assessments, accompanying materials, and complementary learning approaches.
Develop learning solution documentation (e.g., storyboards, project schedules, video scripts, job aids, and courseware).
Develop and monitor metrics for evaluating training and development effectiveness.
Experience with instructional design methodologies.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Also possesses strong interpersonal and teaching skills.
Ability/Experience to facilitate courses if required onsite and virtually using conference tools such as MS teams, Zoom, etc.
Security Clearance: Secret
Location: Offutt AFB, NE – On Customer Site.
Travel: Some travel may be required

The likely salary range for this position is $61,880 - $83,720. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
