She is responsible for managing General Dynamics IT’s legal affairs, which includes providing legal advice and guidance regarding general corporate law, government contracts, labor and employment, mergers and acquisitions, and international and regulatory compliance. As the chief legal officer, she also negotiates significant commercial and international transactions, conducts internal investigations and manages claims and litigation filed by and against General Dynamics IT.
Prior to her current role, Julie served as staff vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary for General Dynamics Corporation. There, she provided legal advice and strategic guidance to senior management and the Board of Directors and had responsibility for public company legal matters. Julie joined General Dynamics in 2003 as senior counsel with responsibility for securities matters and mergers and acquisitions. In 2006, she became assistant general counsel and assistant secretary.
Julie earned her juris doctor degree cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law and a bachelor’s degree cum laude from the College of William & Mary. She is a member of the state bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland.
