Taking a Detailed Look at the Different Kinds of Clouds

With the cloud defined and some of its benefits of the cloud—scalability, cost efficiency and transparency—explained, let’s pivot and look at the different cloud architectures that exist in the marketplace and why an organization would choose one over the other. Then we’ll discuss some simple first steps for IT leaders looking to undertake a cloud migration.

Private, public, community, hybrid…huh?

If you’ve done any research into the cloud, or have begun looking at a migration to the cloud, you’ve probably heard the following terms tossed around: hybrid cloud, public cloud, private cloud, and community cloud. So, what do these terms mean?

Simply put, public, private, hybrid, and community clouds are all just different ways to deploy the cloud.
