A message from our president.

At General Dynamics Information Technology, we recognize the importance of small business; we are committed to ensuring it remains an integral part of our strategic sourcing, procurement, and teaming processes. We believe the success of our company and society as a whole depends on encouraging the growth of entrepreneurship, regardless of race, gender, or abilities. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion extends beyond our workforce to our communities and partners.

Over the years, GDIT has experienced significant growth in its IT services business serving government and commercial customers worldwide. As a valued supplier or vendor, your contributions and efforts have played an integral role in our service offerings. The partnerships we’ve forged with our suppliers have allowed us to expand our technology capabilities and established GDIT as a premier provider of telecommunications infrastructure and IT services.

At GDIT, we’re strongly committed to adhering to ethical standards and practices. We expect not only our employees, but also our partners in business, to abide by these same ethical standards and practices. Please read “Doing Business with GDIT” and our “Commitment to Ethics” carefully as these set forth the high standards and principles we feel are important in doing business with our company. The high standards we uphold are the same principles that we expect your company and employees to adhere to when doing business with us. We believe it is in our mutual interest to foster a relationship built on common dedication to excellence supported by a shared respect and adherence to applicable standards of business conduct.

Through our Supplier Diversity and Small Business Program, we have successfully assisted many socioeconomic businesses in establishing themselves as suppliers and teammates for GDIT. Veteran-owned small businesses have continued to serve our country as successful subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and teammates to GDIT.

We will continue to actively seek to establish mutually beneficial relationships with small businesses capable of providing products and services that meet our supply line and service requirements. Specifically, our Small Business Program affords local and/or global supplier opportunities to the following:

Small Disadvantaged Business Native American Small Business
Veteran-Owned Small Business Historically Black Colleges & Universities
Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Minority Institutions
Women-Owned Small Business AbilityOne Program (formerly JWOD)
HUBZone Small Business

Many thanks to our current teammates, vendors, and suppliers for your continued support, and we look forward to building new relationships as we continue to grow.

Small Business Databases

We encourage small businesses to register in the following databases, used to identify potential small business contractors:

System for Award Management

Companies pursuing business with the government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), which replaces the former Central Contractor Registration. SAM also includes online representations and certifications.

SBA Dynamic Small Business Search

It is recommended that companies complete the information in its entirety, including keywords and capabilities.

VetBiz Database

This database contains U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Veterans Enterprise online directory of Veteran-Owned (VOSB) and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB) small businesses.

As a measure to ensure greater opportunities for all, GDIT is fully committed to the provisions contained in Public Law 95-507, as amended, and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19, establishing requirements for participation in federal contracts to include:

  • Small business (SB) concerns, including Native American small businesses
  • Small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals
  • Small business concerns owned and controlled by women (WOSB)
  • SBA-certified HUBZone (Historically underutilized business zones) small businesses
