Cisco, GDIT to deliver private 5G networks for public sector edge computing

Cisco and General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) announced the extension of a 30-year partnership that will give GDIT the ability to leverage Cisco’s private 5G services for exploring edge computing use cases in government agencies.

As part of the collaboration, GDIT’s decade-long exposure to government agencies in areas such as in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT will be paired with Cisco’s secure and reliable private 5G network to enable an end-to-end solution to achieve digital transformation, the companies said.
