Every enterprise, whether commercial or government, relies on an effective and efficient supply chain which is critical to every mission, at every moment.
Alex McGuire, GDIT Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, and Melissa Frye, GDIT Senior Program Director, recently discussed the logistics and supply chain hurdles facing agencies today – from transportation delays to port congestion to geopolitical tensions – and the innovations that help clients navigate them.
“The logistics mission has been front and center for people, especially over the last four or five years,” Frye said. “Supply chains became a hot topic, but it was really the supply chain disruption with the availability of products and commodities – and that’s something we deal with every day.”
GDIT has a long history of leveraging experience, supplier relationships and innovation to help customers plan for both the expected and the unexpected challenges that can arise, building reliability and resilience into supply chains.
