Cloud adoption is one of the most common lines of questioning we receive from our investors. In a session led by our Chief Technology Officer, Yogesh Khanna, and representatives from two of our leading technology partners—Lee Madden, head of Defense Business for Microsoft and Darren MacLennan, Director of Federal Systems Integrators and Partners for ServiceNow—we shared our perspectives on the state of cloud adoption across the US federal market.

The White House, GSA and OMB have led the charge in establishing strategies and policies for cloud adoption by introducing the FedRamp program and creating several contract vehicles that enable agencies to acquire cloud services. Budgetary constraints and the need to consolidate data centers and reduce waste are motivating even reluctant federal agency leaders to begin moving their infrastructure to the cloud.

We believe we’re in the early innings of cloud adoption in the federal market. With the pace of innovation where new features and functions are released by leading cloud service providers regularly, with continuing pressure on the CIOs to do more with less, and with proposed legislation and recent executive orders, we expect adoption of cloud to accelerate—and we believe we are well positioned to lead in this market.
