Northern Virginia Technology Council Presents Annual Award to CSRA CEO

FALLS CHURCH, VA – The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) has named CSRA Inc. (NYSE:CSRA) President and CEO Larry Prior “Tech Executive of the Year.” The annual award recognizes influential leaders and innovative companies in the region's technology community.

“CSRA has had a very successful year, ‘Thinking Next. Now.’ through strategic acquisitions like NES and Praxis, new wins such as milCloud 2.0, and excellent execution,” said Nancy Killefer, CSRA’s Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are a young company built on the best of our legacy operations. This achievement is due to the hard work of CSRA’s employees who are focused on our customers’ needs and supporting their missions on behalf of the American people. Congratulations to Larry for this well-deserved award.

Nominations were based on executive leadership, the company’s financial growth, personal contributions made to the local technology community, and his or her vision for the future of their company.

Over the past year, CSRA has grown and increased revenue through numerous contract awards, acquisitions, and strategic offerings to the federal government. Since January, the company has claimed new wins across its business groups, including the $498 million milCloud 2.0 award from the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Throughout 2017, CSRA maintained a steady stream of contract wins, with agreements to provide IT support for agencies ranging from the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Courts to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and more.

This momentum continues to drive CSRA as the industry leader in next-generation technology, with numerous rankings in 2017 attesting to this growth. In June, Gartner moved CSRA up 143 spots to rank No. 100 of the world’s most-successful IT companies. The following month, Defense News ranked CSRA No. 39 of the top defense companies in the world. Then in October, Bloomberg Government listed CSRA as the No. 1 Technology Services provider to the U.S. government.

The 2017 NVTC Tech Awards ceremony was held on December 11, 2017. It featured remarks from U.S. Senator John Barrasso, who accepted the NVTC Pinnacle Award on behalf of Senator John McCain for his extraordinary leadership and service to the country. Virginia Governor-Elect Ralph Northam also attended and highlighted the importance of the technology community to the commonwealth.
