Enterprise Information Systems

General Dynamics IT built and sustains much of the classified IT infrastructure for the Intelligence Community (IC). We consolidated seven Washington, D.C. area IC agency sites into a single new, 2.4 million sq ft. LEED GOLD certified campus. This campus supports 8,500 users in the largest virtual desktop environment in the IC. We designed, integrated, deployed and supported over 23,000 workstations across three security levels (SBU, SECRET and TS), each supporting unified communications (converged voice/video/data) capability. We reduced the agency’s application footprint through a comprehensive applications inventory and rationalization and operate the environment to achieve in excess of 99.9 percent availability.

An industry leader in delivering technology enabled mission capability such as the Intelligence Community Integrated Technology Environment (ICITE), our delivery teams consistently achieve on-time, on-budget delivery of complex technical solutions, and have received multiple customer awards and commendations for their performance.

Cyber Security

We support security operations and computer network defense centers across multiple intelligence agencies, supporting well over 100,000 accounts and 50,000 devices across both classified and unclassified networks. These centers provide IACND: Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Incident Response, Cyber Intelligence gathering and threat Fusion Analysis and Collaboration, Defensive Countermeasures.

Using a managed services provider model, we support security operations and monitoring for other federal, public safety and selected commercial customers.

In support of Cloud-first, General Dynamics IT provided cloud security assessments and strategies enabling government to move to commercial cloud services such as those provided by Amazon.

Mission Support Services

General Dynamics IT has deployed thousands of highly skilled developers in the IC, using the latest in software development technologies, such as Agile/Scrum, DevOPs, GITHub and AWS IC Cloud. We maintain one of the largest cadres of OWF developers in the community.

We have also deployed a workforce of more than 10,000 individuals who are highly proficient in their technical or subject area,  choose to work and live with the restrictions of highly sensitive clearances and who are exceptionally dedicated to an extremely demanding  and dynamic mission. For example, within the past year, one General Dynamics IT team increased a customer’s operational network at an international location by over 400 percent, providing a critical enhancement vital to the main effort of U.S. national security.
